Dental Insurance

House Dental strives to make obtaining your dental benefits as smooth and easy as possible. That’s why we are happy to help complete and submit your dental claim forms electronically for you to your insurance provider.

Here are some important facts to know:

Insurance company’s fees may differ since they set them independently. As a result, their fees charged may not be exactly the same as the fees charged by your dental office.

To protect your privacy, your insurance company does not provide us your insurance coverage details. It’s your responsibility to know your plan’s coverage details, such as the maximum, what’s included, and what’s not under your plan. That’s why we recommend all our patients contact their insurance provider to stay up to date and have a full understanding of their coverage.

Important information to find out include:

  • Your annual plan maximum - this is the maximum amount of coverage that will be provided to your dental care costs within a given year.
  • Your insurance year-end - most dental coverage plans usually start from January through December; however, it can differ depending on your insurance provider.
  • How much you have used so far of your annual coverage - once your annual maximum amount has been reached, your insurance will stop paying for any further treatment costs. All fees and costs will be your full responsibility.
  • Please Note: As your dental care provider, our main concern is maintaining and improving your oral health. That means the treatments that we recommend are based on your specific oral health needs and NOT on what is or not covered under your insurance provider.

If you need any help understanding your insurance coverage policies regarding your treatment, we’ll be more than happy to help you.

Payment Options

We accept a variety of payment options, including cash, Visa, MasterCard, and Interac.

Estimates

To help you to plan your budget, we can give you an estimate of your total costs prior to treatments. Please keep in mind that these cost estimates do not guarantee that they will be paid for by your insurance provider.

Billing and Payments

To make payments as smooth and easy as possible, we offer direct billing to most insurance providers. But please keep in mind that the patient is required to pay their portion once their treatment is complete.

Preauthorizations

We are happy to send a preauthorization or predetermination to your insurance provider for your treatment, such as crowns, fillings, root canal, implants, etc. Please keep in mind that this process takes time and hearing back from your insurance provider can often take up to 4 to 6 weeks. Your pre-determination of benefits will be sent to you, not our office, so be sure to bring all of your dental coverage information with you along with your insurance provider's reply so we can help you to better understand your coverage details.

  • Please keep in mind that a preauthorization does not guarantee that your insurance provider will pay for your treatment. Depending on whether you're covered or if you’ve reached your annual plan maximum, the amount you’re responsible for treatment may increase.

We recommend all of our patients to contact their insurance providers before treatment to determine whether their annual plan maximum will preclude them from receiving dental coverage.
